My Name is Veronika but everyone calls me Nicky!
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always been active and passionate about dancing, something I could focus and channel my energy on. Fitness came into my life when a friend of mine asked me to join a fitness bikini competition. At first I was thinking… No way!… and the thought of people staring and judging my body terrified me but in the end, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and did it. I went on to do 4 more competitions and actually placed 4th in my home country!
From then on, fitness became my second passion and I always continued to train and push myself. However, the fitness industry also showed its dark side and I got into a constant battle with food, like cutting out whole food groups, only eating salads and forcing myself to do hours of cardio – many of you will know this feeling and it’s not a great place to be in…
I then hit a new low...
I then hit a new low when some incorrect training caused an injury to my back, which meant I couldn’t train and potentially had to undergo serious surgery.
This moment changed my life as I’ve made the decision that I will do everything in my power to educate myself and heal my body. I spent hours stretching, slowly started to increase my movement and learned to do exercise in a more controlled and safe manner by using correct posture and protecting my spine. Let me tell you, I wish I knew of all of this 11 years ago but it’s never too late to start over!
Years later...
Years later, I am now a certified personal trainer and nutritionist and no longer stress about my body. Instead, I focus on having a positive mind and simply feeling confident in my own skin – I’ve never been happier.
Now, I want to help others find the perfect balance between creating a healthy lifestyle, without having to give up food or their social lives. Help others avoid the same mistakes and build a healthy, sustainable process that drives positive physical and mental change, as well as giving them the tools to incorporate all of this into a routine that lasts a lifetime.
It’s a lifestyle, not a diet or constant calorie deficit – let me help YOU find that balance and become the best version of yourself!
